Serving good times, noon or night
For epic bites and handcrafted cocktails day and night, our dog-friendly restaurant is the place to be - whether you're staying with us or you're simply visiting.
Here, you can expect a laid-back vibe, without fussiness or formality. Our team will host you with the famous Outbuildings' warmth, so you can kick-back and settle in for a lazy breakfast, long lunch or delicious dinner.
Dogs are welcome to dine with you, but our restaurant is an adult-only space. Also, because we're an intimate setting, we can't accomodate walk-ins so visitors must book a table in advance.

OUR KITCHEN TEAM
Talent baked in
They laugh in the face of bland
Our kitchen crew know how to make ingredients dance, sing and come alive on the plate. Forget lacklustre flavours; the food here is some of the best in West Dorset.
It's rooted in the area and cooked with a light hand by our talented kitchen team - headed up by Marcus. We grow and harvest a small amount from our own land, but we leave most of the farming to the people who do it best and we choose suppliers we genuinely trust.
DINING OPTIONS
Wildly tasty breakfast,
lunch and dinner
Breakfast - served for hotel guests only - celebrates Dorset produce. Fresh eggs from Oldways Farm’s pasture-raised hens. Bacon sourced just down the road. Mushrooms grown locally by Grown Up Mushrooms. Simple ingredients, carefully chosen, to start the day well.
Lunch is relaxed and unhurried. Take a seat, pause for a while, and enjoy a coffee or cocktail. Choose something delicious from our lunch menu and ease into the afternoon while you settle in and watch the afternoon drift by.
Each evening, The Cart Shed serves food with our Just Down The Road ethos. The dishes change with the seasons and follow what grows in our gardens and what our local suppliers bring in. Seating is limited, so we recommend booking in advance.
If you are not staying overnight, reserving a table is essential as we cannot accommodate walk-ins.
We're open daily for guests and their dogs. Visitors can join us for lunch and dinner but must book in advance
