Welcome to Our Family Tradition
As a family-run business, we live and work on the farm, sharing our home with our two beloved dogs, Ez and Oscar. Back in 2009, Karen and Bill Whitehead first opened what was then Broad Road Farm Holiday Lets after years of success running the Greyhound Hotel in Bridport. Their vision paved the way for the next generation, and today, Outbuildings is the family’s pride and joy—revitalised and run by their sons Ed Whitehead, George Whitehead and Ed’s husband Dom Sanchez. Ed is the visionary for the look and feel and manages the day to day running of Outbuildings, George is the master maker of the furniture and builds and Dom is the guest and event manager.
For decades, we've welcomed our family and friends to gather at the farm and join in our Christmas festivities, but this year is special. We're inviting you to be part of one big, heartwarming celebration, surrounded by friends, family, and of course, four-legged companions. This will be a Christmas you won’t forget—your home away from home.

Christmas Eve Arrival: Check in from 4pm on December 24th and settle into the holiday spirit. You are cordially invited to our Christmas Feast where you be welcomed with a glass of Furleigh Estate fizz and mouth-watering appetisers, followed by a Six-Course Feast prepared by our talented head chef, Jussy Marshall. Christmas Day Festivities: Start your day with a leisurely Breakfast Hamper delivered to your door. Sleep in, savour the views, and enjoy breakfast at your own pace. Then, join the Whitehead family for a traditional Christmas Dinner, featuring Karen’s homemade smoked mackerel pâté, roast turkey with all the trimmings, and a boozy Christmas pudding to finish - a recipe that’s been in the family for over 100 years!

Boxing Day Fun: Boxing Day is yours to enjoy. We’ll provide Breakfast in the Cart Shed and a curated list of activities in and around the farm. With West Bay only 10 minutes down the road a beach walk is always recommended or why not take part in the West Bay Wallow, a refreshing​Boxing Day dip where fancy dress is encouraged!
